This week we talked about Anger and Forgiveness with our youth. I thought this shirt was a great reminder. You see, anger happens, but not all anger happens to be bad. There are righteous reasons to get angry. Jesus himself got angry! The fine line is explained in Ephesians 4, “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. (Ephesians 4:26, 27 NIV84) Anger comes when someone has wronged us or something was lost or taken from us. We feel line someone owes us. If we allow anger to fester by not dealing with it, it will begin to pollute and control us. This is what the devil wants. When we are angry at someone, its almost always because we feel like they owe us something.
